The "World Series of Cars" is a fundraising event that assists the Jamestown Babe Ruth World Series Committee in hosting the Babe Ruth World Series. The World Series of Cars is recognized as one of the best regional car shows in the Northeast. Up to 400 cars can be expected in attendance on a sunny show day and it is a wonderful walk through the history of the automobile. Participants travel several hundred miles to take part in the day. The event is presented each year with support from the Chautauqua Lake Region Antique Automobile Club of America and the City of Jamestown.
Team Arrival Day
Busloads of players arrive throughout the day in Jamestown for the World Series where they are traditionally welcome by members of the members of Eastside Fellowship. Warm greetings and a meal await the approxiamately 500 visitors who will be participating in this edition of the event.
Home Run Derby
Call it anything you like but this meet-and-greet luncheon is a chance for the players to relax and have some fun before the competition gets underway. Lots of balls clearing the fence and cheers all around are the order of the day.
Banquet of Champions
The formal welcome to all the participants occurs Friday evening when everyone gathers on the eve of the 2015 Babe Ruth Baseball 13-Year-Old World Series.
World Series Parade
The Babe Ruth World Series Parade is the public kick off of the series in Jamestown. It is a great experience for the kids to be honored and introduced to the area and begin their World Series experience," said Kimberly Ecklund, Jamestown Babe Ruth World Series Committee member.
